After returning from Iraq, TJ found himself at a crossroads, unsure of what career path to pursue. He took on various jobs, including working as a truck driver and a trash collector, but none of these roles seemed to fulfill him. It was during one of his trash collection routes that fate intervened. TJ came across an old computer discarded on the side of the road. Rather than seeing it as mere junk, he saw an opportunity. With the help of his uncle, TJ managed to restore the computer, sparking a newfound passion for technology. This serendipitous moment of discovery led him to pursue an applied science degree, using his service benefits to further his education and open up new career opportunities.
In 2012, TJ took the leap and founded what was then known as TJ’s Mobile Computer Services. What began as a small, mobile operation focused on computer repairs quickly grew into something much larger. As TJ’s skills and knowledge expanded, so too did the scope of his business. Today, TJ’s company operates under the name Operation Technology Group, a reflection of its broad range of services. The company now proudly offers cybersecurity, video surveillance installation, IT audits, website building, managed services, and more. TJ’s journey from a roadside find to a successful business owner is a testament to his perseverance, innovation, and dedication.
